Who is responsible for the future? At Weyerhaeuser, we have set our sights on a vibrant, sustainable future—one that holds great promise for our planet, its people, and our natural resources.

Sustainability at Weyerhaeuser

Did You Know?

Between 2000 and 2006, we achieved a 10 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

Bats are an indicator of forest health, but of the 45 kinds of bats found in the United States, seven are listed as threatened or endangered. That’s why Weyerhaeuser works with scientists and universities to learn more about how our forest practices affect bats. By making an effort to better understand bats, we’ll do a better job managing our forests to provide wildlife habitat while sustainably growing and harvesting trees.

We're working toward this future every day: Researching and developing clean-burning transportation fuel made from cellulose fibers. Committing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Delivering distinctive products to market. Focusing on a safe, inclusive workplace for all employees. And managing our environmental impact to reduce our footprint on the Earth.
