Our Partners

As part of this strategy, the foundation partners with universities and nongovernmental organizations to advance sustainable forestry and building practices, conserve natural resources, and protect water quality and wildlife habitat.

The Nature Conservancy

The foundation supports The Nature Conservancy's research to enable better conservation planning and sustainable management of biological diversity in managed forests in both the northwest and southeast United States.

American Forest Foundation

The foundation supports the American Forest Foundation's Project Learning Tree (PLT), an award-winning, broad-based environmental education program for educators and students in pre-K through grade 12. PLT helps students learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think, about the environment and is one of the most widely used environmental education programs in the United States and abroad.

CARE International

In 2000, the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation launched a strategic partnership with CARE International as a structure for international philanthropy. CARE is one of the leading humanitarian organizations fighting global poverty. CARE works in nearly 70 countries helping poor families solve their most threatening problems. Using a people-centered approach, Weyerhaeuser and CARE are promoting sustainable forest management and environmental stewardship to improve the lives of people in developing countries for current and future generations.
